The Ideal 36-511-521 is a bi-metal hole saw available in 9/16 inch to 1-3/16 inches diameter. Models 36-511 through 36-521 are compatible with 1/4-inch round arbor 36-570, 3/8-inch hex arbor 36-571, and 7/16-inch hex arbor 36-572 (sold separately). Ideal’s bi-metal hole saw is constructed of M42 high-speed steel, with 8 percent premium cobalt and a rigid solid steel back plate providing high strength and greater wear resistance.

The deep gulleted teeth design clears out uniform chips minimizing binding on the job and providing 1.2 times faster drilling time than other manufacturers in the market. With a standard 1-7/8-inch cutting depth you can save time by cutting 2 x 4’s with a single pass. The bi-metal hole saws effectively cut through a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, sheet metal, as well as common non-ferrous materials, such as aluminum, copper, brass, wood, engineered wood, nail embedded wood and plastics.
