Test Fiber Optic Network Ports With Any LinkIQ Tester
Use the Fluke Networks Fiber Media Converter (FMC) Kit to understand and debug the fiber port connections by determining application, switch name, port name and VLAN and verifying connectivity using IP ping. The FMC includes the Media Converters, SFPs, fiber optic cords and RJ45 cable to connect with any LinkIQ tester to troubleshoot network connectivity.
Port Connections And Verifications
When testing a connection through the FMC, the “Network” test provides results that can tell you if you have an Ethernet connection to the device at the far end (typically a switch) and if you can send IP traffic to targets at the far end. The result you get looks something like this mobile's screen.
